Relevant Experience /Airport Facilities

• Miami International Airport - Noise Abatement Barrier. Work included evaluation of site, topography and existing conditions with recommendations. Development of Landscape and Irrigation plans from schematic phase through construction documents for the Noise Abatement Barrier.
  
  
• Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. The scope of services consisted of preparation of preliminary and final architecture documents for the main office building and the VIP building/lounge/mini-park and terminal. Sub-tropical and mostly native plant material were used. A mass of color was included to provide the passengers with a glimpse of Florida landscape. This, in turn, created a modern, graceful and functional facility for Colt Aviation and their customers. The design of the mini-park with a tropical theme, benches, and a water feature presented a small oasis among the midst of runways and parking/driving black top surfaces. This made a fresh welcome for the weary traveler. These plans were submitted to the Ft.Lauderdale/Hollywood Airport Authorities for their review and approval in order to comply with the required specifications. • United Airlines @ Miami International Airport - Cargo Building. The scope of services consisted of preparation of preliminary landscape plans, landscape construction documents, specifications, professional preparer's statement and landscape legend ordinance, irrigation construction documents, and attendance to progress meetings and construction administration services.
  
  
• Miami-Dade County Aviation Dept Opa-Locka Rescue and Fire Fighting Facility. Development of Landscape and Irrigation plans from schematic phase through Construction Documents and Construction Administration.
